State Route 356 (SR 356) is a short west-to-east state route located in the northeast part of the U.S. state of Georgia.

From its western terminus at SR 17/SR 75 north of Helen in White County, the route curves northeast, and then southeast, to its eastern terminus at SR 197 in the community of Batesville in Habersham County.

Today[when?], the route is an important connector for tourist traffic in the mountains. SR 356 is the principal access road to Unicoi State Park and Anna Ruby Falls.

The route was originally established in 1963 along the road now signed as SR 75 ALT, as an access road to the Richard Russell Scenic Byway (SR 348). In 1972, the current segment was added to the route. A few years later, the original segment was renumbered as SR 75 ALT to encourage its use as a bypass around the tourist traffic in Helen.[citation needed]
