TN 160

Tennessee State Highway 160 is a four-laned primary highway in East Tennessee. It begins from the West at US Highway 11E near Morristown, Tennessee, heading eastward and essentially bypassing Morristown. It travels near the Morristown Industrial Park and it provides a shortcut for truckers to Interstate 81 near the Lowland and Enka Communities. After the I-81 junction, the highway travels south, as a secondary highway, through the Bybee Community and ending near Newport, Tennessee at US Highway 321.

Construction of the four-laned section began in 1990 and it took roughly two years to complete, passing through a number of hills and valleys, requiring extensive bridges. The first few miles of the highway took over part of Tennessee Highway 342. Highway 342 exists after Highway 160 curves more eastwardly, and heads south to end at Tennessee Highway 66. Highway 160 also crosses over Highway 66 just south of Morristown.
