NC 175

North Carolina Highway 175 (NC 175) is a short north/south state highway in western North Carolina and lies entirely in Clay County, just east of Lake Chatuge.

North Carolina Highway 175 begins at the North Carolina-Georgia state line just north of north of Hiawasee, Georgia. This is at the northern terminus of Georgia State Route 75. NC 175 heads north running just east of Lake Chatuge and is located in the Nantahala National Forest. At just over four miles, NC 175 comes to its northern end at U.S. Route 64 in the hamlet of Elf, east of Hayesville.

The first designation for NC 175 lasted from the 1920s to around 1929 and was located in the Grandfather Mountain area. NC 175 was a spur from the original North Carolina Highway 17 in Bowling Rock. From there it ran west along modern U.S. Route 221 to Linville and over modern North Carolina Highway 181 to Newland. The current routing of NC 175 received the designation around 1967 on the previously unnumbered road.

The entire route is in Clay County.
