MD 182

Maryland Route 182 is a road that runs between Olney and Glenmont, Maryland. The road is first known as Dr. Bird Road for a short distance before becoming Norwood Road. When the road reaches Norwood, a right turn is required to stay on the route, which for its remainder is known as Layhill Road. Going straight at this point would continue as Norwood Road (unnumbered) and with a left turn, the same road is identified as Ednor Road.

Maryland Route 182 begins at an intersection with Maryland Route 97 (Georgia Avenue) deep within Glenmont. The road is a continuation of Judson Road, a small road leading to a residential area. MD 182 carries Layhill Road north on a four-lane, divided alignment, passing between homes and shopping areas as it intersects several major streets in the area. The route is largely wooded and follows Bel Pre Creek to the east, which it bridges after a stretch.

After exiting the denser development, the road narrows to a two-lane undivided road, which occurs north of Longmead Crossing Drive. The route enters sparser development and passes by a golf course to the east. Bridging Buckhorn Branch, the road then dualizes again, but only for a short stretch, to intersect MD 28 (Norbeck Road). The route then enters the open country, where it intersects Norwood Road. Here, the route turns north again onto Norwood.

The road continues north, passing through a small area of homes on a two-lane road. After a few miles, Norwood Road turns east, leaving MD 182 to continue straight on what is now Dr. Bird Road. Shortly after this, the route ends at MD 108 (Olney Sandy Spring Road), just across from Olney Theatre.

The entire route is in Montgomery County.
