GA 337
State Route 337 (SR 337) is a southwest-northeast state highway in northwest Georgia that runs from its southern terminus at the Alabama state line southwest of Menlo northeastward through Broomtown Valley at the foot of Lookout Mountain. The route reaches its northern terminus at US 27/SR 1 south of LaFayette, though the route previously terminated in LaFayette.
Starting at the Alabama state line, southwest of Menlo, SR 337 travels northeast to Menlo, where it has an intersection with SR 48. After leaving Menlo, SR 337 runs northeast through rural parts of Chattooga and Walker counties. In LaFayette, the route turns right onto North Industrial Loop, then onto Shattuck Industrial Boulevard, before ending at US 27/SR 1.
SR 337 used to run on a markedly different route. The route used to enter Georgia farther to the north, and entered Menlo slightly farther to the west. In Menlo, the route traveled to the east before turning northeast on a route farther to the east than the current routing. The routes don't meet again until about 4 miles (6.4 km) northeast of the city.
At the point where SR 337's current routing turns right onto North Industrial Loop, the route used to continue north on Broomtown Road, and then on South Chattanooga Street, then turned east on McLemore Street, which became Crane Street. This old routing ended at US 27 BUS/SR 1 BUS, farther north than its current terminus.
