State Route 174 is a highway that runs north-to-south in an eastern arc, roughly parallel to SR 106, east of Commerce, through portions of Franklin and Madison counties in northeastern Georgia. The route runs from its northern terminus at SR 51 west of Franklin Springs to its southern terminus at SR 106 just north of Ila.

The route first runs southeast to its junction with US 29 and SR 8, then is co-signed with the aforementioned highways for a short distance, before splitting off and continuing southwest to its southern terminus.
