GA 62


Georgia State Route 62 is a state route in southwest Georgia that runs from the Georgia-Alabama line near Columbia to State Route 234 in Albany.

From its western terminus at the Alabama state line, Georgia State Route 62 travels in a northeast direction toward Blakely. On the way to Blakely, State Route 62 intersects with State Route 370 near Hilton. In the Blakely area, State Route 62 has an intersection with State Route 62 Bypass before going to downtown Blakely. While in downtown Blakely, State Route 62 has an intersection with U.S. Route 27 Business and State Route 1 Business, State Route 39, and State Route 200. Before leaving Blakely, State Route 62 shares a brief concurrency with U.S. Route 27. At the eastern intersection with State Route 62 Bypass, State Route 62 departs the concurrency with U.S. Route 27 and heads east into rural Early County. In east Early County, State Route 62 forms a concurrency with State Route 45 and State Route 216 and runs north into Calhoun County. Once in Calhoun County, the route reaches the town of Arlington and departs its overlap with Georgia State Routes 45 and 216. The route continues in a northeast direction in rural Calhoun County, going through the town of Williamsburg before reaching Leary. Once in Leary, the route has an intersection with State Route 37 and State Route 55, and forms a very brief overlap with State Route 37 before departing to the east toward Albany. The Route goes through rural Calhoun and Dougherty counties, going through the town of Pretoria, before reaching State Route 91. State Route 62 then forms an overlap with State Route 91 and the route goes into Albany. Once in Albany, State Route 62 splits from State Route 91 and travels north for a brief distance before reaching its eastern terminus with State Route 234.
